Finally!

I am so relieved that I finally managed to finish and polish the site, discarding time consuming features such as articles, music and movies reviews. I have also added the new “LINKS” section, where links towards different sites related in content or purpose with this one will be present.

From now on, I will start writing short articles which will be posted here, on the blog. Until the next post, have a nice September.

Home again

Hello again. I have finally returned from the Danube Delta, and I can truly say that I had a wonderful time, with a few exceptions. My one week break was a blessing to say the least. Having no connection whatsoever with the rest of the world, I managed to get lost in an ocean of thoughts. It is nice to be able to savor the exquisite feeling of a deserted beach with the rhythmic sound of coming waves, to lose yourself in distant stars and pulsars at night, to wake up in a foggy, cold morning, not to mention the refreshing breeze.

The festival was a success, judging strictly from the film lover’s point of view. A great number of good movies were present this year, although we had our share of stupid films. However, I have returned to my ugly, crowded little town. Starting from tomorrow, I will finish the site’s design and layout and hopefully it will be completed in a few days. The remaining untouched areas are “ARTICLES” and “PERSONAL”, which need special attention because I am still uncertain of how I want them to look.

I have to mention that the photos I took in my little holiday are insufficient for an album to take shape, but I will add them in future albums.

Here we go

Welcome! From this point on we take off to the skies (I hope) with this newly restored site and blog. The whole adventure started on the 24th of August 2006, when, while upon my stay in the Danube Delta, at an international film festival, I came up with the thought of creating a website that would incorporate photography and article writing, to best reflect my view on the world and my way of thinking. I wasn’t on my first try concerning site building, but I chose a free template, that later on proved to be inefficient and bulky. So I changed it two times since…the bad part is that I managed to create horrendous site layouts that on the spot seemed quite nice. However after one year, in the past 2 weeks I worked hard in designing and brainstorming a new version of my site, which I consider to be the best since.

I’ll let you discover the site, which is not fully functional at the moment (articles and personal areas are yet to be worked on). I hope that you will find the site both interesting and useful.

In a few days I will leave again for the same festival: “Anonimul IFF” (http://www.festival-anonimul.ro/) to unwind a bit after the exams I had to pass in order to go to college. The festival is all about independent filmmaking at its best, although some short movies are quite odd and stupid. All in all, it is a visual celebration worth taking part of. On my return, I will write a few words about the festival that will have ended by then, post photos and return to my usual work on the site.
